Riding an adult tricycle is very different from riding a two wheel bicycle. 3 Wheel Bikes steer and ride very different from a two wheel bicycle. It is important to know exactly how to and how not ride a 3 wheel bike for adults. While a three wheel bike does balance easier than a two wheel bike, there are still certain dos and don’ts when riding a tricycle for adults and seniors. One of the biggest no nos is riding perpendicular to a hill. This could cause the adult tricycle to tip over and the rider to crash. If some cases if the hill is not very steep it could be ok, but as a safety precaution we recommend not doing it regardless of the grade of the hill. The shifting of your body weight on an adult tricycle is very important when taking turns and hills. Tricycles for adults and senior are very easy to ride, they just take a little getting used to. Riders will have to retrain their mind on riding a three wheel bike and let go of everything they learned when riding a two wheel bike.
