The 2024 Suzuki Katana will be a limited-run edition, and it has a few features that make it unique beyond its smaller production numbers. Let’s take a closer look.
- There are new throttle bodies on the 2024 Katana. They are ride-by-wire, and Suzuki claims an increase in low-rpm to midrange torque production.
- With the ride-by-wire update come other electronic improvements. There are now three power modes and five-level traction control. We look forward to comparing the new Katana to the previous Katana we tested.
- The clutch now has an assist function. With a lighter touch, the clutch will be less fatiguing for urban riders.
- A quickshifter for the six-speed transmission is standard.
- The Metallic Matte Stellar Blue plastic has never been used. Six-spoke gold wheels and gold-anodized fork legs contrast with the blue for a premium appearance.
- If you reserve a 2024 Katana by October 20, you get a service maintenance plan included. Suzuki calls it Katana Premium Care, promising “an outstanding experience” for two years. The first three scheduled maintenance visits are included in the bike’s price.
- A suitable-for-framing fine-art illustration of the Katana created by Makoto Endo is part of the package.
- The list price of the 2024 Suzuki Katana is $13,879. Reservations are first-come, first-served, with no projected delivery date available from Suzuki.
