While you were watching Jorge Martín sweep the 2023 Japanese Grand Prix, scoring the pole, a Sprint win, and a GP victory, you might have noticed that he was wearing some stylish Alpinestars gear. Martín’s helmet, leathers, gloves, and boots result from a collaboration between Alpinestars and the street-wise Anti Social Social Club founded by Neek Lurk in Los Angeles in 2015.
It’s not the first time Anti Social Social Club has collaborated with Alpinestars, and the brand has previously worked with a broad range of partners, including Formula 1, DHL, Hello Kitty, and Hot Wheels. While you might not be impressed that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have worn Anti Social Social Club clothing, Martín is now part of that heady group of celebrities.
There are quite a few items to choose from, including technical gear to go along with casual wear.
At the top of the colorful ASSC x Alpinestars collaboration is a limited-edition leather jacket with a $900 price tag. The CE Level 2 jacket meets Europe’s highest AAA protection standard. Alpinestars Nucleon Flex Pro armor provides impact protection, and the jacket is compatible with the Alpinestars Tech-5 Airbag. Matching up nicely with the jacket is a pair of Alpinestars Supertech R Vented track-ready boots, just like Martín wore atop the podium at the Motegi Mobility Resort. The boots will run you $750. The helmet, as cool as it is, is not yet available.
The Japanese Grand Prix was a rainy one, and Martín’s umbrella girl was holding an ASSC x Alpinestars umbrella. If it’s cold, you can slip on the ASSC Astars Slipstream zip hoodie, which has an MSRP of $89. Under the hood, one of various ASSC Alpinestars t-shirts will fit—each costs $55. If the umbrella doesn’t work for you, there is a fishing hat that matches the ensemble. A baseball cap emblazoned with “89” is another head-covering option.
