Frances Farnam, 14, purchased a 1976 Porsche 914 about three years ago for $2,000 using the money she earned selling grapefruits picked from her family’s garden. She’s in the process of converting it to electric and estimates she has put around 450 hours into the project so far.
This is a special automobile episode of Unlocked, a home tour series focused on how much people across the globe spend on their housing, what they get for the money and what they had to sacrifice to make it happen.
