The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV is here and ready to shake up the premium Large SUV segment with its own combination of luxury appointments and all-electric performance. That’s right; it’s coming for the divisive BMW iX and recently facelifted Audi Q8 e-tron as the zero-emissions alternative to Stuttgart’s GLE.
To be fair to the Bavarian, ‘divisive’ is also a word that can be used to describe the EQE SUV, given its intense focus on efficient aerodynamics have given it an unusual shape for an SUV. Of course, the same can be said of the EQE sedan upon which it’s based.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Dave Morley finds out if there’s more to the new EQE SUV than its exterior styling, covering what its entry-level 300 version offers inside as well as how well it drives. It should be good given luxury cars and EVs are a match made in heaven, but watch this video to find out if it actually is.
