With the 2025 MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro, the retro supersport 800 expands into the retro superbike class. Built on the Brutale 1000 RR platform, with the same motor, frame, and geometry, the new Superveloce 1000 matches superbike performance with iconic retro styling. This is a 500-example limited-edition model—a bespoke handmade-to-order motorcycle.
- As is often the case with limited edition motorcycles, it’s about the skin. Underneath, you have the muscular Brutale 1000 RR platform. That means 208 horsepower when the 998cc inline-four spins up to 13,000 rpm and a top speed of over 186 mph with its quickshifted six-speed cassette-style gearbox. The chromoly chassis includes high-spec semi-active Öhlins suspension and an Öhlins electronic steering damper. High-end Brembo hydraulics slows down the Superveloce 1000 with the help of Continental ABS, and model-specific Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V4 SP rubber puts the power to the ground. The extensive electronic aids suite is optimized for the Superveloce 1000. It’s all familiar top-shelf equipment.
- The styling is patterned after the long-running Superveloce 800, with its swooping organic lines and distinctive round headlight. In the case of the Superveloce 1000, the fairing features integrated winglets that recall the groundbreaking aerodynamics that MV Agusta used on its 1972 Grand Prix racing motorcycles. In this case, the fairing is made of forged and laminated carbon fiber and designed to optimize airflow to the motor and manage how much heat reaches the rider.
- There are 41 carbon fiber parts on the 2025 MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro. In addition to the fairing, you’ll see it on the Akrapovič exhaust heat shields, front disc guards, chain guard, dashboard mount, and engine case guards.
- The spectacular gold star-shaped aluminum rear wheel features integrated red wire spokes. The one-sided aluminum swingarm shows this off brilliantly.
- Distinctive materials help define the Superveloce 1000. The tank appears to be held on retro-style with a leather strap. The seat is made of leather and the suede-like synthetic Alcantara. Below the TFT display you’ll see a laser-engraved plate with the number of the bike—somewhere from 1 to 500. The three-tone Serie Oro has Pearl Shock Red, Ago Silver (Gloss), and Gold Ciclistica paint.
- As is tradition for MV Agusta Limited Edition models, the 2025 Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro includes an exclusive kit. You get a certificate of authenticity with a number matching the engraved plate. A model-specific cover can be used indoors or outdoors to keep the collectible. Serie Oro in showroom condition. Technical parts include an Alcantara/leather passenger seat, footpegs and mounts with carbon fiber heel guards, CNC-machined brake and clutch levers, and swingarm pin height-adjustment plates.
