Many of the detractors of electric motorcycles claim they lack personality. To combat that criticism, we’re beginning to see custom electric motorcycles. The latest example is this collaboration between LiveWire motorcycles, Suicide Machine Company (SMCO) in Long Beach, and the Anti Social Social Club (ASSC) in Los Angeles.
The Anti Social Social Club is a streetwear brand with many high-profile collaborations, including Hot Wheels, Formula 1, Hello Kitty, Nike, Vans, Playboy, and True Religion. A year ago, Alpinestars and now-MotoGP World Champion Jorge Martín collaborated with the ASSC for a clothing line. The LiveWire S2 Del Mar x Anti Social Social Club was built by SMCO and is touted as a celebration of ASSC’s 10th anniversary.
The Suicide Machine Company builds performance-oriented custom motorcycles and sells apparel, while the company describes itself as “Fast Loud Deathproof”. and has partnered with Harley-Davidson, S&S Cycle, Dainese, Bell, Rockstar Energy, and Wienerschnitzel. This build adds LiveWire to the list.
The LiveWire S2 Del Mar x ASSC custom motorcycle reflects parallel passions for Y2Kgaming hardware, streetwear, and the emerging electric motorcycle culture. The number of electric-powered two-wheelers seen on urban and metropolitan Los Angeles streets continues to grow. The street-tracker style of the LiveWire S2 Del Mar made it a natural choice for the project.
The 2024 Xbox console is an unlikely source of inspiration for a custom motorcycle, but here we are. The custom Saddleman seat advances the circuit board theme while integrating the LiveWire and antisocialsocialclub logo.
Alpinestars added a custom Supertech R10 helmet with antisocialsocialclub, LiveWire, and Alpinestars logos coexisting with circuit board artwork.
Airtrix of Santa Barbara worked with SMCO to create the custom translucent embossed plastic used for the panels, flyscreen, faux tank, and front fender in different colors for a striking appearance that recalls the 2024 Xbox.
Underneath the customization is a perfectly functional electric motorcycle. The LiveWire S2 Del Mar x ASSC custom debuted during the ComplexCon lifestyle event at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall earlier this week.
The one-off LiveWire S2 Del Mar x Anti Social Social Club build sold for $22,509 on the ASSC website. The unique ASSC x Alpinestars Supertech SR-10 in the photographs is available for $4500 from ASSC.
