KTM’s junior middleweight adventure motorcycle gets some updates this year. So, let’s take a look at what’s new on the 2025 KTM 790 Adventure.
- The 2025 KTM 790 Adventure’s parallel-twin powerplant gets a fueling update. The throttle bodies have been changed, and have an updated knock-control sensor. KTM claims the changes result in superior combustion, lower fuel consumption, and cleaner burning while also allowing for lower octane fuel—sometimes the only option when out on an adventure. These updates work with the new airbox that debuted last year. Also returning from ’24 is the improved assist-and-slipper clutch that featured upgraded friction plates.
- KTM grabbed the WP suspension for the 890 Adventure and installed it on the 2025 KTM 790 Adventure. That means the 790’s WP Apex fork now has fully adjustable damping. The compression and rebound damping circuits are in different fork tubes, allowing for improved action and adjusters on the fork caps. The WP Apex shock has adjustability for rebound damping and a hand-actuated spring-preload setup.
- We don’t have a price yet for the 2025 KTM 790 Adventure. However, we can confirm that it will hit dealers’ showroom floors in March. You’ll have to choose between orange and white plastic.
