The Yamaha XMax gets some updates this year. We last tested the mid-size 300-class scooter in 2018, so let’s see what’s new on the 2025 Yamaha XMax.

2025 Yamaha XMax: Price

  1. As you walk up to the 2025 Yamaha XMax, you’ll notice the new front end. The turn signals are now integrated into the fairing for a cleaner look and more protection from the wind for the rider. Also, the nose-cowling and spoiler have been updated for a quieter ride with less fatigue, thanks to reduced turbulence.

2025 Yamaha XMax: MSRP

  1. The windscreen is now electronically adjustable. The windscreen moves vertically almost four inches, and the adjustment is stepless. The control for the windshield is integrated into the left switchgear.

2025 Yamaha XMax: TFT and LCD dash

  1. Sit on the 2025 Yamaha XMax, and you will find a broad new dash. The updated two-piece unit matches a colorful 4.2-inch TFT display with a crisp 3.2-inch LCD screen. Prominent readouts include a huge speed indicator, a stylish tachometer, a fuel gauge, a clock, ambient temperature, and other helpful information.

2025 Yamaha XMax: Specs

  1. While you’re waiting to ride, check out the new USB-C powered socket. You won’t have any excuse for arriving at your destination with a depleted battery in your smartphone.

  1. There’s a new muffler on the 2025 Yamaha XMax. Although the new muffler is a bit lighter than the previous design, overall, the new XMax weighs six pounds more than its predecessor, poking above the 400-pound mark. Also, the swingarm is new to accommodate the muffler update.

  1. The motor is unchanged. The dependable 292cc SOHC liquid-cooled thumper is back. Starting is electric, and the continuously variable belt-drive transmission features fully automatic operation—twist the throttle and go. However, fuel consumption is up by three miles per gallon for 2025, and now sits at 73 mpg.

  1. The 2025 Yamaha XMax has a new price and new color. The updates result in a modest price increase of $100 to $6299. In March, you will start seeing the new XMax in Midnight Black at your local Yamaha dealer.
