2025 Honda NT1100 DCT First Look [10 Fast Facts, US Model]

The sport-tourer is back in style. This time, it’s a new bike from Honda with roots in Europe. The 2025 Honda NT1100 takes the twin-cylinder engine that has had success in the Africa Twin and Rebel 1100, and puts it in a sport-touring chassis. The bike has been a winner in Europe since its introduction in 2022. Happily, American Honda is giving us a new version—the 2025 Honda NT1100 DCT is upgraded from the original edition. Now, let’s look at the Fast Facts on this intriguing sport-touring motorcycle.

2025 Honda NT1100 DCT First Look, American Model: Price

  1. The Africa Twin’s 1084cc motor is a proven success. It’s a parallel twin with Honda’s proprietary SOHC Unicam design and a thumpy 270-degree crankshaft. Its biaxial balance shafts cancel primary vibrations, while piston motion neutralizes secondary vibrations. Two 46mm throttle bodies feed the four-valve head.

2025 Honda NT1100 DCT First Look, American Model: Specs

  1. Three IMU-informed preset ride modes are at your beck and call, along with two customizable User modes. Tour, Rain, and Urban are ready to go. The User modes allow you to pick among three levels of engine power, three levels of engine braking, and three levels of traction control (plus off). Rear Lift Control is always there to help on the 2025 Honda NT1100 DCT.

2025 Honda NT1100 DCT First Look, American Model: MSRP

  1. You know what the DCT in the name means—dual-clutch transmission. As with other Honda DCTs, the clutch is always automatic, and you choose between automatic and manual shifting. In addition to the manual shifting mode, which uses paddles for shifting, there are two automatic modes—Drive and Sport. Drive mode shifts up quickly for sedate performance and reduced fuel consumption. Sport mode shifts later for faster acceleration, and three levels are available. In the Manual mode, the engine will shift down automatically to prevent stalling and clutch wear. The latest version of DCT also uses the six-axis IMU, which adjusts gear-shifting on uphill grades.

2025 Honda NT1100 DCT First Look, American Model: Sport-touring motorcycle

  1. The chassis has sport-touring geometry. The wheelbase is a roomy 60.4 inches for stability. Meanwhile, the 26.5 degrees of rake and 4.3 inches of trail give the 2025 Honda NT1100 DCT agility. With the 5.3-gallon fuel tank topped off, the bike weighs 547 pounds.

  1. The Showa suspension travel offers the slightest reminder that the NT1100 DCT sport tourer is related to the Africa Twin adventure bike. Wheel travel is a hair under six inches at each end. Instead of semi-active suspension, the 2025 Honda NT1100 DCT’s Showa units get by with spring-preload adjustment at both ends. The fork is an inverted 43mm cartridge design, while the linkage-assisted shock is single-tube pressurized.

  1. The cast aluminum wheels are both 17-inches in diameter. There’s a 120/70 tire in the front and a 180/55 in the rear. Photos show Dunlop Sportmax GPR-300 tires on the NT1100 DCT.
  1. IMU-supported cornering ABS is standard. Radially mounted Nissin calipers slow down the 310mm discs in the front. The rear 256mm disc is gripped by a single-piston caliper.

  1. There are plenty of touring accouterments for the 2025 Honda NT1100 DCT:
  • The full fairing has integrated LED lighting.
  • Upper and lower wind deflectors protect the rider’s arms and lower body.
  • The five-position windscreen has 6.5 inches of total adjustment range.
  • The 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen display has three modes—Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The display background can be set to black or white.
  • The dash supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connecting via Bluetooth to an app on your smartphone.
  • There are USB and 12-volt powered outlets.
  • Cruise control helps pack on the miles with reduced fatigue.
  • The 32.3-inch-high seat is designed with optimized cushion density for comfort.
  • Large passenger grabrails extend from the rear rack. Comfort passenger pegs are optional.
  • The turn signals are self-canceling.
  • The heated grips are adjustable.
  • The centerstand aids in maintenance.
  1. Panniers and a top case are optional. The panniers with the mounting kit ring up for $945. The top case has a list price of $426. Add more if you want a panel kit or locks. Honda gave the NT1100 a low-slung exhaust to enhance the capacity of the right pannier.
  2. The MSRP of the 2025 Honda NT1100 DCT is $11,899. That undercuts the prices of its nearest competitors—the 2025 BMW F 900 XR ($11,995), Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX ABS ($13,699), Suzuki GSX-S1000GT+ ($14,299) and Yamaha Tracer 9 ($12,599). One color is available—Pearl Hawkeye Blue—and check with your dealer for availability.
