It was a wild RMFantasySX night in Birmingham last week. No rider in the top 10 finished within two positions of his previous performance. With five up and five down, so much for momentum. What used to be a reliable podium trio—Ken Roczen, Chase Sexton, Cooper Webb—did not materialize. Regardless, we’ll try to make sense of it all and dig into our 2025 Seattle Supercross fantasy picks and tips.

- Cooper Webb had a hiccup in Birmingham. Mistakes cost Webb, as he went 7-4-1 for P4 overall. The key takeaway is that Webb kept improving until he won the night’s final Race. Thanks to the trajectory of his Birmingham performance, Webb remains the favorite and my pick for a win at Lumen Field in Seattle on Saturday.

- The performance at Birmingham may be just what Chase Sexton needs to get his title charge going. Going into Protective Stadium, Sexton had not finished higher than P3 in any round since his round 4 win in Glendale. He leaves Birmingham with a 1-1-2 Triple Crown score, and Sexton cut Webb’s 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship Series lead from 15 points to eight. We will have to wait until after Seattle to see if Sexton is truly back. I have him down for P2, though he is still a fine pick to win.

- Aaron Plessinger’s 2025 Supercross season is on. Plessinger has gone 3-5-3 in the last three rounds, and was 2-3-5 in the Birmingham Triple Crown. With Roczen slowed down by a shoulder injury, Plessinger moves in to take the final Seattle podium spot.

- Despite a damaged shoulder, Ken Roczen is soldiering on. Even when riding hurt, Roczen held it together through three Triple Crown Races at Birmingham to secure P5. It will be interesting to see how Roczen’s shoulder fares in Seattle. I can’t write Roczen off if he’s still a top-five guy after the injury, so P4 it is.

- There are two good choices for P5—Justin Cooper and Malcolm Stewart. While Stewart was P2 in Birmingham, going in, he was on a 9-6-6 run. That certainly makes Stewart a viable P5 pick in Seattle. Although Cooper slumped to P6 at Birmingham, he had five top-five finishes in a row prior to the Triple Crown battle. That’s an impressive record, so I have Cooper in P5.

- The Wild Card is P12, and there’s a firm favorite. Last week, Mitchell Oldenburg was the P14 Wild Card winner. Oldenburg could make it two in a row, thanks to the 11-14-12-13-12-14 run he’s on. If you’re looking for a bit longer shot, consider Colt Nichols (12-11-15-15-14-18), Dylan Ferrandis (12-8-13), and Christian Craig, who was P12 in his return to Supercross at Birmingham.
- The Seattle Supercross starts a bit later than usual. Check out our 2025 Supercross Television Schedule for streaming details on Peacock.
