Royal Enfield’s Build.Train.Race. (BTR) program rolled into Road America for its second Road Racing round, tackling the four-mile Wisconsin track with steady performances, good competition, and very different results in the Sunday race, Racing in front of the biggest Superbike weekend crowd in Road America’s 45-year history, the all-female BTR field put on a great show over the two days.
Saturday saw Kira Knebel build on her Barber Motorsports win, showcasing her aggressive and confident style. Runner-up Shea McGregor stayed close for her second P2 of 2025. Miranda Cain’s good pace resulted in her first podium this season. Further back, Cassie Creer took fourth, followed by Kate West, Lucy Blondel, Bryanna Everitt, Camille Conrad, Tati Paze, Karina Simões, and Brianna Cutler.
Sunday shook things up. Off the start, the field moved into similar positions to the day before. However, positions took a rapid turn when Knebel had a fast crash entering the famed carousel, with her bike cartwheeling spectacularly into the gravel trap. Fortunately, Knebel suffered only bruises and no real injury.
Shortly thereafter, McGregor locked the front entering the chicane, went down, and slid unharmed onto the grass. McGregor’s crash allowed Cain, who was running right behind her, to take full advantage. Cain’s smooth and consistent riding enabled her to clinch her first BTR road race win.
Conrad had clawed her way forward and was closing on Cain near the end, though Conrad had to settle for a hard-earned second spot on the podium. Creer, winner of last year’s wet race at Road America, secured third, her first podium of the year.
West held fourth, while Blondel turned lots of early pace into a come-from-behind P5. Everitt took sixth, followed by Paze. McGregor remounted for a never-say-die P8 finish. Simões and Cutler rounded out the top ten.
“The BTR riders showed determination and teamwork,” Adrian Sellers, Royal Enfield’s Head of Custom & Motorsport said. “Their adaptability and support for each other are driving their progress this season.”
The 2025 BTR Road Racing series heads to Ridge Motorsports Park in Washington (June 27-29) and closes the summer at Virginia International Raceway (August 1-3). The Flat Track program continues at Lucas Oil Speedway (June 7) and Lake Ozark Speedway (September 14).
