The price of race-replica motorcycles can be daunting. Aprilia has addressed this by creating a motorcycle inspired by the Aprilia RS-GP25 MotoGP factory racer and based on its RS 125 street bike platform. The resulting 2025 Aprilia RS 125 GP Replica has a list price of £5380—about $7000 at current exchange rates.
Unfortunately, to let the cat out off the bag early, don’t expect to see this motorcycle in the United States. Regardless, the new RS 125 GP is worth a look because we love motorcycles—even when we can’t get them at a local dealer.
Aprilia updated its fully faired, clip-ons equipped RS 125 platform this year. Of course, the GP version gets all the benefits of that upgrade. The 125cc liquid-cooled single has new timing for the four-valve head. The result is a powerplant that is compliant with Euro 5+ standards while putting out 15 horsepower at 10,500 rpm and 8.5 ft-lbs of torque at 8500 rpm. Those numbers mean an A1 license holder in the UK can ride it.
The GP designation for the RS 125 this year isn’t simply cosmetic, though that is part of the package. The 2025 Aprila RS 125 GP has a quickshifter for the six-speed transmission, defeatable traction control, two-channel Bosch ABS, and a cowling for the passenger seat.
Carryovers from the standard RS 125 include a broad LCD dash that helps the rider keep track of the GP’s systems, J.Juan brake calipers, and Michelin Pilot Street tires.
The graphics are inspired by the Aprilia RS-GP25 bikes campaigned this year in MotoGP by British Grand Prix winner Marco Bezzecchi, test rider Lorenzo Savadori, and, for the Qatar Sprint race, World Champion Jorge Martín. The livery includes matte black paint on the frame and swingarm, red and purple Aprilia graphics, and reproduction of sponsor logos, including Sterilgarda, Sky WiFi, SC Project, and Castrol.
If you happen to be in Europe, you should be able to see a 2025 Aprilia RS 125 GP Replica on a showroom floor.
