Going into the second half of the 2025 AMA Pro Motocross Championship Series, there have been a few shake-ups. Early on, the top five was easy to pick—the only challenge was getting them in order. That has changed over the last two rounds, with injuries and illnesses creeping into the 2025 Spring Creek National Motocross fantasy picks for RMFantasyMX players. Let’s see where the season is headed.

- Jett Lawrence remains unbeaten. The only rider close to beating Jett is Jett. If you think that will happen at Spring Creek MX Park, feel free to select another rider to win. I’m sticking with Jett, who has six wins in six rounds.

- Hunter Lawrence has tightened his grip on P2. With three P2 overalls in a row, Hunter is now P2 in the series. P2 is the slot for Hunter Lawrence, without much discussion needed.

- Justin Cooper is poised to nab the final podium slot at Spring Creek. Cooper has been in the top five at every round, along with the Hunter brothers. Cooper has a pair of podiums this year, and is on a 5-4-3 run. He has demonstrated that he can weather less-than-perfect starts. Put that all together, and P3 it is for Cooper, who may end up being the #1 seed when the SuperMotocross Playoffs start.

- Chase Sexton is looking good on his return and should improve over last week. Sexton may not be podium-bound quite yet, but his 5-4 return is enough to tip him for P4 overall at Spring Creek MX Park.

- R. J. Hampshire earns his first top-five nod of his rookie season. Hampshire is steadily improving, going 9-7-7-8-6-4 this year, breaking into the top five at the RedBud National. While I have him for P5, he’s not a bad P4 pick.

- With a DNF-7 day at RedBud last week, Eli Tomac’s will may have been broken. Tomac’s dismal performance dropped him two spots to P4 in the series standings. While he can’t be blamed for the DNF in the first moto, the P7 in Moto 2 is not a good look going forward. While I’m not putting him in the top five, I’m not going to argue with you if you do.
- It has taken a while to get going this year, but Jorge Prado is in the top-five discussion at Spring Creek MX Park. Prado was P5 in the Southwick sand and P6 at RedBud, so he’s right there. However, Hampshire’s 6-4 in the last two rounds beats Prado’s 5-6. Still, if you want to take a risk, Prado for P5 is a good one.

- Aaron Plessinger has health issues going into the Spring Creek National. He talked non-specifically about them, and fatigue prevented him from lining up for the second moto at RedBud. That makes Plessinger a risky choice for the top five.
- Now settled into the series, Justin Barcia is also worth thinking about for a top-five overall. Barcia has gone 9-7, so he’s marching toward the top five. That’s not enough to pick him in RMFantasyMX play, unless you want to pick up some unexpected points.

- The Wild Card is P13, and I’ve got someone for you. Only one rider has two P13s, and that’s Benoit Paturel. He also has two P11s and a P10. Tomac was P13 last week, so that’s out. Prado had a P13 at Thunder Valley—don’t expect that to happen again. Cooper Webb was P13 in the opener, but a knee injury has him out for a few rounds. Paturel is undoubtedly the natural Wild Card pick this round.
- The Spring Creek National is in the Central Time Zone, so the gate drop is at 11 a.m. on the West Coast and 1 p.m. on the East Coast. It’s live on Peacock with a rerun on USA. Check our 2025 Pro Motocross Television Schedule for details.
