The 2026 CFMoto Papio SS is the Chinese brand’s entry into the urban mini-street bike space occupied by the Honda Grom, Monkey, and Dax 125s, along with the Kawasaki Z125 Pro and Benelli TNT 135. The Papio SS has been updated this year. However, because it’s probably new to you, we’ll go over all its features.
- Unlike any other motorcycle in its class, the 2026 CFMoto Papio SS is fully faired. This feature reminds us of the Yamaha YSR50, a two-stroke mini street bike sold from 1987 to 1993 that became a cult classic. The Papio SS features a boxy fairing with retro, dual, round headlights, although it is equipped with modern LEDs for lighting. Clip-on handlebars add to the supersport styling.
- The 2026 CFMoto Papio SS is powered by an air-cooled 126cc motor. Putting out 9.4 horsepower at 8250 rpm and 6.8 lb-ft of torque at 6500 rpm, the Papio SS is helped along by a six-speed transmission—unusual for its class—with a manual clutch. Traction control is standard.
- Suspension is basic. The inverted fork is non-adjustable, and the shock has only spring-preload adjustment.
- Disc brakes slow down the Papio SS. Up front is a 220mm disc, while the rear has a 190mm disc. Hydraulic calipers are used at both ends, and ABS is standard.
- A pair of 12-inch aluminum wheels keeps the bike mini. The SS has tires from Cordial, a 30-year-old Chinese brand with which we have had good experience on small bikes. The front tire is 120mm wide, with the rear measuring 130mm.
- The seat height is an approachable 29.9 inches, and it accommodates a passenger. Making the 2026 CFMoto Papio SS even easier to handle, the curb weight is 251 pounds. The wheelbase is a compact 47.8 inches; we don’t have rake and trail numbers.
- The round dash has an analog-style tachometer, with an inset LCD panel. The LCD displays your speed, gear position, time, fuel level, and odometer.
- The 2026 CFMoto Papio SS has an MSRP of $3299. That makes it the most affordable of the mini street bikes, with only the Benelli TNT 135 undercutting it by $100. The Honda Grom ABS and Kawasaki Z125 Pro, two direct sport-focused competitors, are $600 more than the Papio SS. The Papio SS can be had in Nebula White or Clay Yellow, and comes with a one-year warranty. Check with your local CFMoto dealer for availability.
