A good weekend for Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) saw him gain pole position and the win in the full-length race on Sunday at Portimão. Bezzecchi also finished on the podium in Saturday’s Sprint. In the process, Bezzecchi has secured third place in the final championship standings with one race remaining.
The Sprint race was won by Alex Marquez (Ducati), with Pedro Acosta (KTM) second and Bezzecchi (third).
Sunday’s race saw Bezzecchi dominate and eventually pull a comfortable gap over second place Alex Marquez and third place Acosta.
