LiveWire has confirmed a second collaboration with Richard Rawlings and Gas Monkey Garage, this time centered on a one-off custom build of the S4 Honcho Trail, the brand’s new mini-moto model. The project follows the pair’s S2 Alpinista build, which drew strong attention at the 2026 Mama Tried Motorcycle Show.

The build kicks off this week at the 2026 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, where Rawlings takes delivery of an S4 Honcho Trail to begin customization work at Gas Monkey Garage. LiveWire and Gas Monkey Garage are marking the start of the project with a public event, the S4 Honcho Party, at Gas Monkey Garage Bar & Grill in Sturgis on August 9, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Attendees will get an early look at the S4 Honcho platform, along with refreshments and giveaways.
The finished machine will debut publicly at the 2027 Mama Tried Motorcycle Show in Milwaukee. Before that, it will appear at Flat Out Friday on February 19, 2027, as part of a newly created S4 Honcho race class – the first competitive category built around LiveWire’s mini-moto platform. The class, developed jointly by Flat Out Friday and Mama Tried, is open to any S4 Honcho owner, not just invited riders. Confirmed entrants so far include the Gas Monkey Garage team, Jeff G. Holt of V-Twin Visionary, and members of the founding teams behind both events, with more riders expected to be announced.
Jon Bekefy, LiveWire’s Head of Commercial, said the response to the S2 Alpinista project made bringing Gas Monkey back for a second build a straightforward call. Rawlings, known widely for the Gas Monkey Garage YouTube channel and for starring in Fast N’ Loud and Garage Rehab, described the S4 Honcho Trail as a different kind of canvas from the earlier project.

On the product side, the S4 Honcho line marks LiveWire’s entry into the mini-moto category. Both the Street and Trail variants use dual removable, swappable batteries, offer a reverse function and multiple ride modes, and roll on 12-inch wheels. The bikes weigh roughly 250 pounds with batteries installed and top out around 59 mph. Pricing starts at $4,999 for the Trail and $5,499 for the Street. Production is underway, with dealer deliveries set to begin in August.
