We manufacture HVAC. We store product, and of course we ship to several of our facilities around the U.S.
We are the largest HVAC manufacturer under one continuous roof. One of our biggest challenges is just the overall size and the travel here through the facility.
We were looking for a solution that was comfortable for the forklift drivers to operate and something these guys would enjoy.
Overwhelmingly they chose they Jungheinrich. – Michael Wright, Operations Manager
Usually we have to load 80 – 100 trucks a day. There’s days were you have to load 120 trucks. If you have to be all day sitting down, and that’s what you do all day – that’s your job, well you want the best forklift. – Santana López, Forklift Operator
Getting two shifts off of one battery in a facility this size is pretty impressive. – Michael Wright
It’s ergonomically structured for a forklift driver to be on it for long periods of time.
-Juan Ruiz Jr., Forklift operator
It’s easier and comfortable in a way that when you sit, everything is molded to your body. Your legs, you can stretch them out – that’s what I like. – Santana López
Some of the other features the guys like are the hand control, the joystick. – Michael Wright.
You don’t have to overextend, doing this number here. After an eight-hour day you’ll eventually get fatigued as opposed to having your armrest and making those adjustments with your fingertips. – Juan Ruiz
During one shift there’s probably close to 75 – 80 forklifts operating all through the warehouse. – Michael Wright
You honk your horn and when they see that blue light everyone starts stopping. – Santana López
It’s an extremely good feature, especially when we’re backing out. At least it will tell somebody, ‘be prepared to stop when you see the blue light.’ – Juan Ruiz
The way the (Jungheinrich 3-wheel) travels through the warehouse – it’s very smooth. The shifting of the mast – the transition when they’re lifting or down-stacking product – (the operators) preferred it much more than some of the other (forklifts) we tested. – Michael Wright
When I walk in at the beginning of the day – if I have a choice between a propane (forklift) and a Jungheinrich – I’ll choose the Jungheinrich. There’s no comparison. – Juan Ruiz
