Last year, the scrambler-inspired Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 debuted—the first twin-cylinder-powered motorcycle in the ’Pilen range. Now, we get the pure-street 2025 Husqvarna Vitpilen 801, which uses the same platform as the Svartpilen.
There are three main differences between the Svartpilen 801 we tested a few months ago and the new 2025 Vitpilen 801.
Instead of the dirt-track-style Pirelli MT 60 RS tires on the Svartpilen, the Vitpilen gets Michelin Road 6 tires, which are no-compromise street rubber.
The Vitpilen’s ergonomics are sportier than the scrambleresque stance presented to the Svartpilen rider. This includes a lower, flatter-bend handlebar on the Vitpilen.
There are also styling differences, including the new Vitpilen 801 being available in two colors—yellow and silver. The 2025 Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 also gets a distinctive sloped LED headlight and more aerodynamic front fender mounting. Finally, more Vitpilen parts are blacked out.
Carried over from the Svartpilen 801 to the Vitpilen 801 are all the main chassis components, including the frame, semi-adjustable WP Apex suspension, and the braking system by J.Juan (though branded Husqvarna).
The Vitpilen 801 799cc DOHC motor that puts out 103 horsepower is shared with Svartpilen, including the six-speed transmission with an optional quickshifter and the expansive electronics package with its five-inch TFT display.
We don’t have a price for the 2025 Husqvarna Vitpilen 801. However, we can tell you that it is due to arrive in dealerships in December. The returning 2025 Svartpilen hits showroom floors next month.
