The 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship Series is off to a thrilling start with unpredictable podiums and top fives. While that makes scoring big in RMFantasySX.com fantasy supercross a challenging proposition, we wouldn’t have it any other way. So, let’s see what the 2025 Glendale Supercross fantasy picks and tips look like.
- In the first three rounds, we have three winners, a championship leader with no wins, seven different riders with top-five finishes, only one rider with three top-five finishes, and no riders with three podium finishes. Wow! Despite that, there’s much to learn from the results.
- Jett Lawrence is back as the favorite. Jett’s win at A2 was impressively methodical, with no one challenging him at the finish. After his first-round struggle, Jett has gone 2-1 and that makes him the rider to pick to win at Glendale.
- Ken Roczen has claimed P2. Roczen is the only rider to finish in the top five in all three rounds. He has two P2 finishes in that stretch, earning him the P2 Glendale Supercross slot. If Roczen grabs P2, he will hold onto the red plate, unless Chase Sexton wins.
- With a pair of P3 finishes this year, Jason Anderson is the guy to pick for the final podium slot. That may not last all the way through 2025, but that’s where we are at now.
- The rest of the top five is tricky, with four unpredictable candidates—Hunter Lawrence, Chase Sexton, Eli Tomac, and Cooper Webb. Let’s run them down in alphabetical order and then pick a pair.
- Hunter Lawrence has two P5 finishes in a row. That’s a strong argument for another top-five finish. Keep in mind that P5 is Hunter’s highest finishing position this year. He is an okay P5 pick, though that’s his upside, which is risky.
- Chase Sexton hasn’t been on the podium since winning Anaheim 1. After taking the A1 victory, Sexton has gone 6-4. So, Sexton is moving in the right direction and will always be a podium possibility. However, P4 or P5 is the best I can do until he finds his way back to the podium.
- Eli Tomac is another rider who is fast, but has only one podium. Tomac’s win at round 2 in San Diego was impressive. His comeback ride to P5 at A1 was strong, though P5 is still P5. The P7 last week is definitely a concern. Still, Tomac is only five points off the lead, so he’s there.
- After two good rides, Cooper Webb struggled at A2. Webb was one of only three riders with two top-five finishes after two rounds—the others were Roczen and Tomac. Like Tomac, Webb did not do much at A2, finishing in P8.
- Putting that all together, I’m going with the two winners to fill out the top five. Sexton has had a better year than Tomac, so it’s Sexton in P4 and Tomac in P5. Don’t expect the rest of the year to look like this, though.
- The Wild Card is P8, and that’s another crowded field. I’ve already named seven riders, so that’s my top seven. The leading Wild Card contenders are Justin Barcia (6-8-10), Justin Cooper (7-11-6), and Malcolm Stewart (10-7-9). All three riders are good picks. However, Stewart has already been the Wild Card twice this year. That’s a trend, so Stewart is my Wild Card P8 pick.
- It’s a late start at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, as the series leaves California for the first time this year. Check our 2025 Supercross Television Schedule for the latest viewing information.
