The 2025 LiveWire S2 Alpinista is a new electric motorcycle blending urban and sport attributes, now available with a $15,999 MSRP. The naked upright sport standard is built on LiveWire’s S2 platform that underpins the S2 Del Mar and S2 Mulholland.

The Alpinista features 17-inch wheels with Dunlop Roadsmart IV tires, and a seat height 1.1 inches lower than the S2 Del Mar. The result is claimed lean angles of 52.1 degrees on the left and 44.2 degrees on the right. The Alpinista’s maneuverability enhances the 434-pound EV’s capability for urban commutes and sport rides through the twisties. A LiveWire insider tells us the Alpinista has “the urban agility of a supermoto.” Suspension is by Showa, with braking handled by Brembo.

Electric motorcycles are all about torque, and the 2025 LiveWire S2 Alpinista is no exception. The motor cranks out 194 ft-lbs of torque. Livewire says the Alpinista can go from 0 to 60 mph in three seconds flat. It also has a peak of 84 horsepower. Four present riding modes and two custom modes let you tailor the electric motor’s performance to your requirements.

A six-axis Bosch IMU enables advanced safety features on the 2025 LiveWire S2 Alpinista for cornering-aware ABS and traction control. Riders have access to four preset ride modes plus two customizable modes to tailor the bike’s performance to their preference.

Range and charging are always a concern on EVs, and motorcycles are no exception. Using the SAE J2982 Riding Range Test Procedure, LiveWire claims the city range maxes out at 120 miles, and the highway range is 71 miles. These, of course, are “up to” numbers, and your results are likely to be downward to various degrees. If you have access to a Level 2 charger, it takes 78 minutes to take the 10.5-kilowatt-hour battery from a 20 percent charge to 80 percent. A Level 1 charger that you plug into a standard 110-volt outlet takes just under six hours to charge from 20 to 80 percent.

These will be rolled out in the first half of 2025, enhancing its versatility for different riding styles and aesthetic preferences.

The 2025 LiveWire S2 Alpinista can be purchased through LiveWire’s retail partners or configured online for specific color schemes and accessories for pickup at the nearest retail partner. The standard colors are Asphalt Black and Glacier Silver.
