It was cat-and-mouse for the 2025 Daytona Supercross Main Event with plenty of position changes on the challenging Ricky Carmichael-designed course on the infield of Dayton International Raceway. Ken Roczen took the checkered flag first, earning Roczen his first win of 2025, and first-ever Daytona Supercross victory.
Cooper Webb was the runner-up, moving into P2 on lap 10 after battling for P3 early in the race. Aaron Plessinger led laps 4 through 7 and held on for the final podium spot, despite dropping to P4 on lap 10. Jason Anderson led the opening three laps and finished in P8.
Chase Sexton crashed hard in his Heat, earning his way into the Main Event with an easy LCQ lead. Hobbled by a poor gate pick, Sexton was in P8 after the first laps of the Main. Sexton worked his way up to P3 on lap 10, but the final three laps saw Sexton fade to P5. Justin Cooper turned a P9 start into a P4 finish, passing Sexton on the penultimate lap.
Webb extends his lead in the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship Series to 10 points over Sexton. Roczen now trails Sexton by six points. Anderson, who is 27 points behind Roczen, leads a tight battle for P4 in the standings, sitting one point ahead of Malcolm Stewart, who is two points clear of Cooper.
Racing resumes on Saturday, March 8, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Check our 2025 Supercross Television Schedule for viewing details.
