With the Supercross season done and dusted, it’s time for the 2025 AMA Pro Motocross Championship Series. We’re back for fantasy motocross fans who play the RMFantasyMX.com game and leagues—it’s free, and you can win prizes from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. Two former 450MX champions—Jett Lawrence and Eli Tomac—will be lining up in Pala, California, to take the crown away from defending champion Chase Sexton. Also, two more former 450MX title holders are waiting in the wings as they heal from injuries—Dylan Ferrandis and Ken Roczen. Picking a top five for the 2025 Fox Raceway National won’t be easy, but that’s why we’re here.

2025 Fox Raceway National Motocross Fantasy Picks and tips; Chase Sexton
Defending Pro Motocross 450MX Champion Chase Sexton.
  1. 2024 AMA Pro Motocross Champion Chase Sexton comes into the 2025 season with plenty of momentum. In addition to being the champ, Sexton was a close runner-up in Supercross this year, racking up four wins in the final five rounds. Put those two things together, and it’s Sexton for the 2025 Fox Raceway National win.
2025 Fox Raceway National Motocross Fantasy Picks and tips; Jett Lawrence
Defending 2025 SuperMotocross Champion Jett Lawrence.
  1. Jett Lawrence and Eli Tomac are coming off Supercross and Pro Motocross injuries. Tomac rode only the final two rounds of the 2024 Pro Motocross Championship Series and the first five 2025 Supercross rounds. Jett rode five rounds of the 2024 450MX series, and four rounds of Supercross this year. So, in the last 27 rounds, Tomac has ridden seven rounds, and Jett has ridden nine. While both are potential Fox Raceway winners, they haven’t been racing for months. I give the edge to Jett, who is 11 years younger than Tomac. So, Jett for P2 ahead of Tomac.

  1. Hunter Lawrence is also returning from injury, and he was the runner-up to Sexton in 2024. Last year, both Jett and Tomac had an advantage over Hunter when they were going against him, though Jett rode against Hunter in the first five rounds, while Tomac took on Hunter in the last two rounds last year. Regardless, as all three are coming off injuries, Jett and Tomac get the nod over Hunter at Fox Raceway.

  1. Aaron Plessinger was P3 in 2024, with Jett and Tomac out. With them returning, look for Plessinger to take the last top-five spot. Plessinger finished the Supercross series strong, so you might consider taking a chance on him going better, though I wouldn’t put him higher than P3 behind Sexton and Jett.

  1. Several more riders are worthy of top five consideration at the Fox Raceway National. Justin Cooper scored eight top-five overall finishes in the 2024 450MX season, with Jason Anderson grabbing six overall top-fives. Can they do it with Jett and Tomac lining up? That’s a great question. There’s also the case of Jorge Prado. He won the 2023 MXGP World Championship, but struggled in Supercross before getting injured. Although motocross is Prado’s natural habitat, he is coming off an injury and is a rookie on the Pro Motocross tracks. As they’re coming off of injuries, Anderson and Prado are wait-and-see for me. Another big name with a question mark is reigning Supercross Champion Cooper Webb. How he will do outdoors is hard to gauge, though we know he rides better at stadiums.

Two-time MXGP World Champion Jorge Prado.
  1. Picking a P10 Wild Card finisher at the 2025 Fox Raceway National is pure speculation. Last year, Freddie Norén was P10 overall and finished half of the motos within one position of P10. That’s as good a choice as any. For this one, you might want to watch qualifying and make a last-minute switch. In the meantime, Norén is my placeholder. If you want someone else, consider Justin Barcia, Shane McElrath, Malcolm Stewart, and rookie RJ Hampshire. The Fox Raceway National Wild Card battle will be interesting to watch unfold.
Cooper Webb
2025 Supercross Champion Cooper Webb.
  1. If you plan to watch it on TV, consult our 2025 Pro Motocross Television Schedule. For those of you considering going to one of the races in person, we have the 2025 Pro Motocross Schedule to help you plan.
