Mips, a Swedish company specializing in helmet safety technology, is working with Comoto to enhance rider safety through an upgrade option for the Sedici Strada 3 helmet.
The program introduces the Mips Integra TX. It’s a thin, low-friction layer integrated into the helmet’s padding to reduce rotational motion to the head during certain angled impacts. This marks the first time customers can add safety features to an existing helmet rather than purchasing a new one.
Riders can access the Mips Integra TX in three ways:
- Purchase it as an in-store add-on for a compatible Sedici Strada 3 helmet, with staff installing it.
- Buy the Integra TX liner for self-installation into the Strada 3
- Select a new Strada 3 helmet with the Mips Integra TX pre-installed.
The upgrade costs $40 and is compatible with all colorways and technical specifications of the Sedici Strada III. The program is available exclusively through Comoto’s U.S. retail network, including RevZilla, Cycle Gear, and J&P Cycles in-store or online.
The Sedici Strada 3, with an MSRP of $300, uses a shell consisting of fiberglass, Kevlar, and nylon, held together with military-spec resin. Sedici uses four shells to handle the XS to 3XL range of sizes. The helmet meets DOT and ECE 22.06 standards before the installation of the Mips Integra TX.
“Comoto has consistently shown a strong dedication to rider education and gear expertise,” Mips CEO Max Strandwitz tells us. “This partnership helps make Mips technology more accessible, aligning with our mission of leading the world towards safer helmets and bringing added safety to more motorcyclists.”

This initiative enhances rider safety by offering an easy, affordable helmet performance upgrade path. As safety advocates, we are eager to see if Mips extends Integra TX technology to a broader range of motorcycle helmet brands and types.
