The 2024 Yamaha Ténéré 700 gets a nice makeover this year via a few desirable upgrades to the popular mid-size adventure touring motorcycle. Yamaha hinted at these changes with the European version of the 2023 Ténéré 700, and now Americans can enjoy the improvements.
- The latest Ténéré 700 has three ABS modes. Mode 1 is for pavement riding, as ABS is employed for both wheels. Mode 2 turns off rear-wheel ABS, and Mode 3 dispenses with ABS completely.
- The dash gets modernized. The old LCD dash is replaced by a five-inch TFT display. Riders can choose from two presentations—one is a contemporary look, while the other mimics traditional analog clocks. A right-handlebar scrolling dial helps navigate the full-color display.
- If you put Yamaha Y-Connect on your smartphone, you ca connect it to the dash via Bluetooth. A free app for iOS and Android smartphones, Y-Connect monitors various functions of the Ténéré 700. The app also sends notifications of phone calls and texts to the dash.
- The turn signals are now LEDs.
- If you want to add a Yamaha quickshifter to the Ténéré 700, the wiring is already there. That will save you some money on installation. We don’t have a price for the quickshifter.
- The list price of the 2024 Yamaha Ténéré 700 is $10,799. The Team Yamaha Blue version will be on showroom floors in September. If you want the Shadow Gray version, it will be available the following month. In the meantime, check out our Ténéré 700 Project Bike.
