If you’re like me, and probably few people are, you pretty much only wear t-shirts. However, even if you don’t wear t-shirts 100 percent of the time, you likely still wear one now and then. If you’re a Suzuki fan, you’ll be happy to know that the Hamamatsu-based brand has revamped its clothing lineup 2023, and that includes t-shirts. I’ve picked my favorites for those of you who look to me for sartorial advice.#1. Gasoline & White-Knuckles. This retro-styled t-shirt features a vintage crossed-up two-stroke RM on the back, and includes a checkered flag motif. The rider is dressed in a classic yellow Suzuki jersey and sporting an open-face helmet. On the front is a Suzuki “S” logo where you might expect a pocket. The shirt is a blend of 60 percent cotton and 40 percent polyester to keep you cool at the track on a hot day. It’s a winner! Sizes: SML – 3XL. Price: $35.
#2. GSX-R750 Retro. The 1985 GSX-R750 is the subject of this t-shirt. The two stripes of shades of blue and a nice graphic touch complement the groundbreaking motorcycle. Suzuki tells me this shirt is 100 percent pre-laundered, ringspun 4.3-ounce super-soft cotton. Sizes: SML – 3XL. Price: $35.
#3. V-Strom “Engineered For The Unexpected”. Mountain peaks are subtitled “Adventure Division” with “Engineered For The Unexpected” as a motto surrounding the adventure-friendly graphic. There’s a tasteful Suzuki logo on the left sleeve of the t-shirt, with the V-Strom logo tucked in above the mountains. Designed for adventure riding, it’s a blend of cotton (60 percent) and polyester (40 percent). Sizes: SML – 3XL. Price: $35.
#4. RM Army Camo Shirt. There is definitely a hard-core RM Army out there. We had Will Embree cover the RM Army Boot Camp earlier this year. Whether you’re a private or a general in the RM Army, the new RM Army Camo t-shirt is a subtle way of pledging RM allegiance. The shirt is pit-ready, as it’s made of a 60/40 cotton/polyester blend. Sizes: SML – 3XL. Price: $35.
#5. Ride Suzuki Women’s Shirt. We don’t want to leave the ladies out, as we have two on our staff—Associate Editors Teejay Adams and Kelly Callan. The appealing Ride Suzuki logo is simple and contemporary. Suzuki describes the color as “cardinal”, but it looks pink to me. The shirt has a feminine cut, including a wider neckline and shorter sleeves than the guys’ t-shirts. According to Suzuki, the fabric is a “soft blend.” Sizes: SML – 3XL. Price: $35.
Honorable Mention. Hayabusa Kanji Black 5 Panel Hat. When it’s sunny out, you need a baseball cap. It’s difficult to do better than this five-panel Hayabusa hat with the Kanji logo on the front. It’s a flatbill design with an adjustable closure on the back, so one size fits pretty much everyone. Price: $25.
Suzuki is more open-minded about apparel than I am, and the range of new gear includes hoodies, fleece jackets, polo shirts, long-sleeve technical shirts, and beanies.
