There are five new motorcycles in the 2025 Indian Scout lineup—the 101 Scout, Sport Scout, Super Scout, Scout Bobber, and Scout Classic. The newest Scouts feature the new SpeedPlus 1250 engine and matching frame, with the various Scouts mining a different part of Indian’s long heritage. We covered technical aspects and the broad range of options for the 2025 Indian Scout lineup last week, so we won’t go through all that again. This time, our attention is focused on the new 2025 Indian Scout Classic. So, let’s dig in.
- The 2025 Indian Scout Classic has a stately designed to satisfy traditionalists. Bucking the current trend towards blacked-out styling, the Classic proudly shows off its chrome. The exhaust system captures the most eyeballs, with more shiny stuff provided by the wire-spoke 16-inch wheels, handlebar, turn signals, mirrors, round headlight, and valve covers for the DOHC liquid-cooled V-twin. Valanced full-coverage fenders provide a resolute look while keeping road grime at bay.
- Forward foot controls and a wide handlebar give the Classic confidently comfortable ergonomics. A solo seat affirms the rider’s sense of independence.
- High-profile Pirelli Night Dragon tires take on two duties. They provide a fat footprint on the pavement, while adding a beefy gravitas to the appearance.
- The 2025 Indian Scout Classic is available in all three trim lines—Standard, Limited, and Limited +Tech. There’s too much to discuss here, so check out the Scout lineup story for all the details. The short version is that the Limited adds a suite of electronic rider aids, and the Limited +Tech trim brings in a TFT display with GPS, navigation aids, and other connectivity, including access to Indian’s Ride Command and Ride Command+ apps. The Limited trim runs $700 more than the Standard’s $13,999 price tag. Limited +Tech is a $1000 upgrade over Limited. Each step up the trim line brings more colors, including a pair of two-tone paint jobs for $16,699.
- Indian offers four accessory collections—Commuter, Open Roads, Overnighter, and Stealth—to budding customizers. Each collection enhances specific functionalities of the Classic while upgrading the bike’s appearance. As with trim lines, our Scout lineup first look (link in the first paragraph) delivers a detailed examination of the collections.
- In addition to the Classic styling, the new SpeedPlus 1250 brings 105 horsepower to the table. There are 82 ft-lbs of torque produced at 6300 rpm, just 950 rpm before the horsepower peak. A six-speed transmission on the 2025 Indian Scout Classic delivers the power to the rear wheel via a belt drive.
- Seven color choices await the 2025 Indian Scout Classic buyer. You can check them out in person at an Indian dealer next month.
